1. Introduction

Welcome to SavvSkout ("we", "our", or "us"). We are committed to protecting your personal information and your right to privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our platform.

2. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly to us, including:

  • Name and email address (via registration or Google OAuth)
  • Resume and professional profile data
  • Job preferences, skills, and search keywords
  • Application history and task data
  • Payment and billing information (processed securely via Stripe/PayPal)

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, operate, and improve the SavvSkout platform
  • Power AI-driven job scouting and application drafting on your behalf
  • Process subscriptions and payments
  • Send service-related notifications and updates
  • Comply with legal obligations

4. AI & Automated Processing

SavvSkout uses AI agents to scout jobs, generate cover letters, and submit applications on your behalf. You remain in control at all times — you can enable manual review mode, pause AI activity, or use the kill switch in your settings. All AI actions are logged and visible in your Activity Log.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We may share data with trusted third-party services necessary to operate the platform (e.g., Stripe for payments, Google for authentication). These providers are contractually obligated to protect your data.

6. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time via the Settings page.

7. Your Rights (GDPR)

If you are in the EU/EEA, you have the right to:

  • Access — request a copy of all personal data we hold about you
  • Rectification — request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data
  • Erasure — request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten") via Settings → Delete Account

  • Withdraw Consent — withdraw consent at any time without affecting prior lawful processing
  • Lodge a Complaint — with your local EU Data Protection Authority

All GDPR requests are processed within 30 days. Submit requests via the Contact page or through Settings.

8. Cookies

We use essential cookies and local storage to keep you logged in and remember your preferences. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.

9. Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
